We had a fantastic assembly today with players from The Brooks Bandits! Staff and students took turns playing with, and against, these awesome local hockey players. #HFAallTheWay #BrooksBandits
CTR and Southland Transportation have made the rare decision to cancel all buses tomorrow morning and afternoon, Friday, January 12, in Okotoks (including St. Francis), High River, Strathmore, Brooks, Drumheller, and Canmore due to extremely cold temperatures and severe wind chills. Our school will remain open, as many families rely on our facilities. Students and staff driving to school should use extra caution and plan for additional travel time. Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for these extreme conditions. CTR will continue to monitor road and weather conditions. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate these cold temperatures.

At HFA we are waiting.... We had our Advent school mass on Wednesday and have learned about the importance of waiting and getting ready for Christmas; preparing our hearts and minds for who is to come. The first candle of Advent is HOPE. Ask your child what they learned about Advent and Hope this week. #HFAallTheWay #CTRCatholic #AdventWeek1
TRANSPORTATION UPDATE 6:15 am – December 08, 2023 All of our schools are open, but some rural routes might not run due to icy conditions and accumulation of snow. Although conditions appear to have improved, significant snowfall and drifting on rural roads has created unsafe driving conditions. We expect in-town buses to run in all communities, but we anticipate that road conditions might cause some to run late. Even where we initially determine that rural buses can travel, individual bus drivers have the authority to cancel routes if they determine that local conditions may be unsafe. In the case that a route is cancelled, Southland Transportation will contact families. Students and staff driving to school should use extra caution and plan for additional travel time. Please do not leave children unattended at bus stops, and please ensure that they are dressed appropriately for the conditions. CTR will continue to monitor the road conditions throughout the day. For up-to-date transportation information, please click on “Bus Status” on the divisional website at www.redeemer.ab.ca
