CTR is excited to announce the deadline for the Tablets & Doorposts: A Jamboree In Writing has been extended to April 15! Teachers are invited to submit up to three pieces of student writing for inclusion in the 2024 Tablets and Doorpost Anthology. Ask your teacher for the details! HFA had a great Leap Day! For the extra day, we had an extra challenge for staff! We asked for photos throughout the day of pictures with frog books (leap, get it? :), measuring devices to measure the extra day, photos with 29 things, and photos from the last leap year, 2020!

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, Mrs. Conners had Dr. Seuss day yesterday in her grade 3 class! Her students became immersed in the magical world of Dr. Seuss and even tried green eggs and ham! Mrs. Tina Fleck is this years recipient of the Christian Witness Award for Holy Family Academy. Award recipients were recognized during our district Faith Days this week in Okotoks. Christian Witness Award winners are those who demonstrate a Christ-like attitude and servants heart, and are nominated by their school staff. Congratulations Mrs. Fleck!

We are now accepting applications for Non-Certificated Classroom Supervisors (NCCS). Casual, on call positions are available at all Brooks schools. Under the direction of the administrator, NCCS' will supervise students, maintain a positive learning environment, and follow a set day plan in the event a teacher is absent and a certified substitute teacher is not available. A Bachelors degree or diploma in a field related to youth, education, social work, or recreation, and 3-5 years of experience working with youth, is preferred.
