On Friday we celebrated our 100th day of school. It also happened to be our open house so parents were able to come into classes and check out all the fun learning taking place. Holy Family Academy might not have a groundhog to help predict the weather, but we do have Mrs. Enderby's lovely hamster, Mr. Bean. This was Mr. Bean's very first year helping predict how long our winter will last. Students watched through zoom, eagerly anticipating if Mr. Bean would roll forward into spring or backwards for a longer winter. We had a great pajama/banana split day at HFA! 😄🍌🍨 While in their cozy pajamas, staff and students made their way to the hall where they were served banana splits by some Bandits and parent volunteers. Special thanks go out to our Bandits: Ethan, Davide, Logan and Luke and our parent volunteers: Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Keswick, and Mr. Anderson. St. Thomas Aquinas is Mrs. Nelson's classroom saint. The class learned about him today and made a craft in honor of his feast day on January 28th. There is always a sun in St. Thomas Aquinas' pictures, so students made a sun with him in the middle that said “The sun that warms the world.” #HFAallTheWay #CTRcatholic
