To all of our kindergarten parents, We are going to spend the first day(s) getting to know your child better from August 31st, September 1st and 2nd through our Kindergarten Switcheroo initiative. Is your HFA student anxious about the first day of school on Monday because they don't know who their teacher is or where their classroom is located? Do you want to skip the morning school traffic/busses on the first day of school? Is your child taking the bus on the first day and you're worried about them travelling with all of their supplies?! Well, dont worry! HFA has their open house Friday from 11:30am-1:00pm. You can drop off school supplies, find your child's classroom/teacher, and meet the amazing staff! #HFAallTheWay #HFAopenhouse

Our Catholic Education Week(s) were amazing! We needed two weeks to celebrate with events like the Living Rosary, school wide Adoration at St. Mary's Church, our walk for Catholic Education, and our student faith day retreat with Face 2 Face Ministries. Congratulations to Mrs. Kristan Kinniburgh, Mrs. Heather Boyd, and Mrs. Ashleigh Deis, who were honoured tonight at the CTR Divisional Awards! ✨ Mrs. Boyd – Above and Beyond Award ✨ Mrs. Deis – Excellence in Teaching Award ✨ Mrs. Kinniburgh – Power of One Award Each of these staff members brings incredible gifts to our school community through their care, leadership, compassion, and commitment to students each and every day. The amazing volunteers from Totus Tuus in Calgary came to HFA to guide our grade 3 students in making their own rosary! We were so blessed to have this amazing group come back to HFA! Alberta author/illustrator Mike Boldt came to HFA today and talked about his journey of becoming an author and illustrator (hint, it started in elementary school). He also gave a quick session on how to use shapes to draw. Ask your child how they learned to draw a shark today! #hfaalltheway #ctrcatholic #mikeboldtillustrator
